General Terms

1. Services
1.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking agrees to provide dog walking and pet-sitting services in a reliable, caring and honest manner. Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will not use any tools or techniques on the Client’s pet(s) that will cause pain, discomfort or affect the pet(s)’s health, happiness or wellbeing. Work with animals is unpredictable and Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking confirms that the Pet Walker/Sitter has considered the Client’s pet(s)’s safety and that of the Pet Walker/Sitter in how work is conducted.

2. Insurance
2.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking is insured for public liability, key loss/alarm, transportation, care, custody and control of animals.
2.2 In consideration of the services and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and releases Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking from any and all claims against the company, its owner, employees and representatives, except those arising from negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking.
2.3 The Client accepts that Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking assumes no responsibility for the loss or injury of any pet(s) and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment, and expenses unless through negligence or wilful misconduct.
2.4 The Client is recommended to insure pet(s) for vet fees and third party liability. The Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking in the event of a claim by any person injured or otherwise damaged by the Client’s pet(s) unless through negligence or wilful misconduct by Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking.
2.5 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking’s cars are insured car for business use.
2.6 The Client will not request advice on their pet(s)’s behaviour, health or wellbeing from the Pet Walker/Sitter, and if they do they understand that this advice has not been paid for and is not part of our service, therefore it will not be covered by our insurance.
2.7 Any requests for compensation due to injury, or damage to property will be referred to Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking’s insurance company.

3. Client Homes
3.1 This document gives the Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking Pet Walker/Sitter authorisation to enter the Client’s listed address as needed to perform agreed upon services.
3.2 The Client agrees to properly secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will re-secure the home to the best of its ability at each visit.
3.4 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under this contract.
3.5 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking is not responsible for any damages to the Client’s residence or property beyond the control of the Pet Walker/Sitter.

4. Contact and Working Hours
4.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking working hours are 9.00am-5.00pm on Monday-Friday.
4.2 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking tries to respond to correspondence as soon as possible, however responses may not be immediate and correspondence received outside of working hours may not be responded to until the start of the next working day.

5. Future Bookings
5.1 The Client authorises this contract to be valid approval to permit Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking to accept all future bookings and provide services without additional signed contracts or written authorisation.

6. Pet Health and Notice
6.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring their pet(s) is/are fully vaccinated, wormed & treated with flea/tick treatments.
6.2 If the Client’s pet is sick or injured, the Client is asked to notify Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking as soon as possible before any scheduled services, especially if the sickness may be transmitted to other dogs or the Pet Walker/ Sitter. Such diseases and conditions include but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough, Bordetella, Parvovirus, Coronavirus, Worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skins diseases and Intestinal Parasites. Clients will not be charged for short-notice cancellations in the event of the sickness or injury of their pet(s).
6.3 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will follow the directions of the Veterinary Release Form if a pet is injured or sick.
6.4 If a pet(s) becomes injured or ill or suffers an accident whilst in the care of Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking, it may be necessary to take it to the veterinary practice used by the Client. In an emergency if the Client’s own vet is not able to provide an appointment to see your pet, Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will look for other veterinary practices that can. In this event Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Client, but if the Client is uncontactable, the Client gives Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking the authority to proceed with any course of treatment recommended by the vet. The Client is recommended to insure pet(s) for vet fees and third party liability.

7. Prices
7.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to review and adjust services and prices from time to time. The Client will be informed prior to any price increase.

8. Payments
8.1 The Client agrees to pay all charges accrued for services rendered. The Client agrees that payment is due by the last day of each month (dog walking) or prior to the time of the commencement of services (pet-sitting) unless explicitly agreed upon supplementary payment terms.
8.2 The Client agrees to pay any unavoidable charges or expenditure that is incurred by Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking.

9. Late and Non-Payment of Charges
9.1 The Client may incur a charge for late or non-payment in addition to any and all bank fees attributed to the failed payment.
9.2 Non-payment of fees owed may result in suspension of services to the Client, legal action to recover monies owed and all costs relating to that non-payment including interest.

10. Marketing
10.1 The Client authorises the use of their pet(s) image in any media or advertising for promotional purposes. The Client’s address is never disclosed, and the Client’s pet(s) name(s) are only used with the Client’s consent. All such media remain the property of Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking.

11. Termination of Services
11.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the Pet Walker/Sitter, in his/her sole discretion, determines that the Client’s pet(s) pose(s) a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people or the Pet Walker/Sitter.
11.2 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to refuse service to any client, at any time, for any reason.
11.3 If the Client terminates services for any reason other than negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if notified less than 48 hours prior to a scheduled service.
11.4 If the Client decides to terminate services, or Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking withdraws services, any keys held will be returned once the account is settled.

12. Force Majeure
12.1 In the case of an emergency (e.g. pet{s} or Pet Walker/Sitter sick or injured), extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, storms, wind or heat), traffic issues or a natural disaster, the Client authorises Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking to use reasonable judgment for the care and wellbeing of the Client’s pet(s) and residence. Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will make reasonable efforts to maintain service during these conditions but reserves the right to adjust the schedule of service based on the sole discretion of the Pet Walker/Sitter. Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will always notify the Client in advance if possible or as soon as reasonably possible if this has been the case.
