Pet-sitting Terms & Conditions
19. Pet-sitting Service Inclusions and Exclusions
19.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking aims to provide a reliable, caring service for your pet(s) which is as close as possible to the experience which they receive while living at home with the Client. Pet-sits are either a 30 minute drop in, longer daytime sits or overnight stays from approximately 4pm until 10am the following day (unless by special arrangement with the Client). Overnight pet-sits include a dog walk the morning after the sit. If the booking is for more than one night, we aim to ensure the pet will not be left alone for more than four hours in the daytime without a chance to stretch their legs and urinate.
19.2 The Client agrees to provide suitable living conditions for the Pet Walker/Sitter’s stay including, but not limited to, a bed with clean bedding, hot running water, a heating source, loo roll and access to cooking/kitchen equipment.
19.3 The Client is responsible for supplying the necessary equipment needed for the care of their pet(s) including, but not limited to, a sturdy, well-fitted harness and/or collar with required legal identification tag and sufficient supplies for their pet(s) for the duration of the pet-sit (e.g. food, treats, bowls, poo bags, cat litter and cleaning equipment).
19.4 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will complete additional household tasks only if agreed with the Client in advance (e.g. putting out and retrieving bins, watering plants, drawing curtains, turning on/off lights etc.).

20. Pet-sitting Invoicing and Payments
20.1 For 30 minute drop-ins the Client will be invoiced for services performed on a monthly basis. Invoices will be sent to the client a week before the end of the month for payment by the last day of the month.
20.2 For all other pet-sits the Client will be invoiced a week in advance for the full amount for the pet-sitting service for payment before the commencement of the service.
20.2 Payment must be made via bank transfer to the Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking account shown on your invoice before the commencement of the service.
20.3 Failure to pay before the commencement of the service may result in Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking having to cancel the service.

21. Pet-sitting Changes/Cancellations
21.1 If the Client wishes to make a cancellation or change to pet-sitting bookings with Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking the Client should notify Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking by 5pm on the Friday before the week the booking is due to commence.
21.2 For 30 minute drop-ins Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled services cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service.
21.3 For longer daytime pet-sits and overnight pet-sits Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of the equivalent of one night’s provision of the scheduled services if cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service.

22. Pet-sitting Termination of Services
22.1 If it becomes necessary for Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking to terminate this contract, we aim to provide as much notice as possible unless this is due to non-payment, insistence that we act in a manner contrary to our ethics or as a result of actions or negligence by the Client that jeopardise the safety and wellbeing of the Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking Pet Walker/Sitter.

23. Pet-sitting Weekend, Bank Holiday and Festive Period Bookings
23.1 Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking services are primarily offered during the working week. If the Client requires services at the weekend, Bank Holiday or during the festive period, the Client understands that this is only offered at the discretion of the Pet Walker/Sitter.
23.2 Pet-sits during the festive period are charged at double time.

24. Pet-sitting Force Majeure
24.1 In the case of force majeure, if a walk/visit has to be cancelled in advance by either the Pet Walker/Sitter or Client, the service will not be charged. The Client is asked to cancel by 9am on the day, otherwise Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking reserves the right to charge.
24.2 In the case of force majeure, if a walk/visit needs to be cut short Absolutely Awesome Dog Walking will offer a refund for the nights of the service which were not completed.
